I'm here... sigh... two weeks today and we'll be back in the Carrol room... Poo. I don't want to go to school. I wanna have spare time! I wanna read non-school related material! I want to be stress free! Poo.
School will be stress free! No raptors out of their cages, just at a safe distance, at least for most of us. I can't wait for school to start, learning things at my own pace again! Reading! not just slaving away then sleeeping fitfully. But then I live in a hole and any excuse to stay away is fine by me. Only Wolf draws me back. I work till the 3rd then rest then orientation meeting. Can't wait to see what has been cooked up. See you all then, I hope. Warren
It's just that there are a lot of negatives and we've had shit luck this summer. House got hit or almost hit by lightening on friday. there was the loudest and shortest noise I've ever seen a split second of blue strobe light then I saw an ember like you get from campfires float away from the house and get extinguished in the rain. A few minutes later the phone rings. I pick up hesitantly and there is no sound, no dial tone or anything and the phone keeps ringing! So something got fried in there. If i'd been using it at the time of the flash I could have been roasted. YOu could look at like it was good luck too I suppose. We have our health as far as we know and it is just too easy to focus on the negative. I have flipped off select emotional centres of my brain so I don't get too pissed at things anymore.
Oh yeah I wiped Matt (Bess' husband) off the map in Risk last night! Huzzah. I had to gloat sometime and I was too tired last night, and you don't want to pull out all the gloating stops when playing risk with someone for the first time, it could make a freaky impression. so there is my toned down gloat. Warren Oh, we do have a shower now so at least that is an improvement.
